Mike
was born in Grand Junction, Colorado, but was
primarily raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Early
religious teaching and guidance in his life came
from two places. The
first place was a Christian home, where his parents
reared him in the way of the Lord. The second place
was his church, where he met sincere Christians who
taught him by both lesson and example. Mike
accepted the Lord into his life while in the fourth
grade. He followed the Lord in Baptism shortly
after. It was while Mike was a sophomore in
high school that he felt God’s calling him to
surrender his life to full time Christian ministry.
After beginning college, He began a pastorate in the
local church and it is through the pastoral ministry
that he has been serving the Lord ever since.
Mike has earned a Bachelor of Science in Christian
Education from Hannibal LaGrange College in
Hannibal, Missouri. After college, he attended
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he
earned a Master of Divinity degree with Biblical
Languages, followed by a Master of Arts in Christian
Education. Currently, Mike is attending
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in his
pursuit of a Doctorate of Ministry Degree with an
emphasis in preaching and leadership.
Mike and his wife Sara were united in marriage on
August 5, 2000. They have been with the
University Hills Family since June of 2005.
Mike and Sara have three children: Anna Leigh,
Abigail Kara, and Joshua Michael.

William was born in Alton, IL but
at the age of 5 he moved with his parents and one
sister to Bartlesville, OK. It was there that
William came to realize his need for Christ at the
age of ten after spending most of the summer
visiting various Vacation Bible School programs.
He accepted the redeeming grace of Jesus and asked
Christ to become his Savior and Lord. The next
spring William was baptized by submersion as his
personal testimony as a believer in Jesus. At the
age of sixteen he was became a member of Eastern
Heights Baptist Church in Bartlesville, OK.
The Student Ministry of the church gave him an
opportunity to travel to Montana for a mission trip
in which he then realized a call in his life to
serve the Lord in full-time ministry. The following
summers he had the chance to intern with the Music
and Youth pastors at Eastern Heights which continued
to fuel that call in his life to serve the Lord in
Music Ministry. Since that time the Lord has
equipped William with a strong background in
biblical and Christian educational studies and in
musical hymnody and musical education of the church.
William has a Bachelor of Music degree in Church
Music from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar,
MO. When he was eighteen he had his first
opportunity to serve as music minister and continues
serving in that role today. William is
currently attending Denver Seminary and pursuing a
Master of Divinity in Church Leadership with a
concentration in worship.
William and his wife Kate have been married since
August 8, 1998. They have been with the
University Hills Family since October of 2006.
William and Kate have two children: Olivia Rae and
Megan Elizabeth.

Joe spent his early years
growing up in Kentucky and being involved in the
activities of his local church there. He was
blessed to have parents and family along with
pastors and church leaders, who guided him during
those early formative years. He accepted Christ and
joined Central Baptist Church in Winchester, Ky. at
the age of 8. He attended school in Kentucky and
received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from
the University of Kentucky. He chose a business
career in the fields of management and technology
and worked with several organizations before coming
to Denver in 1985 to work with a large technology
leader. Upon arriving in Denver, he and his wife,
Jennie joined University Hills Baptist Church and
they have continued to serve in a number of
different areas. Jennie and Joe have been blessed
with two children who are now married and have
continued to add to the legacy by adding two
granddaughters to the family.
In his role of Community
Services Coordinator, Joe is moving from a part time
position to a full time staff volunteer. This new
